Sugar Free Sweets and fat free Sweets
It's the New Year and many of us are looking at diets and are interested in which sweets and treats contain no sugar and fat. So we have put together this handy guide to help you see which of our sugar free sweets are also fat free.
Boiled sweets
They are largely made from a sweetener such as isomalt with added flavours and colour so will be fat free. However you need to be a little careful, some sweets like butterscotch do contain milk products so will have some fat.
Sherbets and fizzes are also fat free.
Sweets with a soft centre
These will have some fat in them as the soft centre is normally either toffee or chocolate which normally shas some fat.
Jelly sugar free Sweets
Sweets like sugar free gum drops and poker fruit are fat free. Some sweets such as wine Gums and fruit gums are glazed to give a glossy appearance. There is vegetable oil in the outside coating which means there is a some fat but at a very low level of just 0.2g per 100g.
Toffee
Unfortunately to get the texture right these sugar free sweets contain fat.
Chocolate
The high quality chocolate we sell does contain cocoa butter, this contains fat . The world is just not that perfect!
